ABX Air Cancels Early Release of Third Quarter Earnings

WILMINGTON, OH - Oct. 31, 2003 - ABX Air (OTC/BB: ABXA) announced today the Company has cancelled the early release of its third quarter earnings results. The conference call originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th, 2003 has also been cancelled. The Company has decided that the report of its third quarter earnings results will instead occur through the filing of its 10-Q on or before November 14th, 2003.

"Due to the complex accounting adjustments necessary to reflect the separation of ABX Air from its former parent, we have decided to cancel the early earnings release and instead disclose our results through the publication of the 10-Q," stated Joe Hete, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The cancellation of the early release is not a reflection of any factor other than the revised time-frame for closing the books. We fully anticipate filing our 10-Q on time."
