ABX Air Names Cheif Fiancial Officer

WILMINGTON, OH - Dec. 18, 2003 - ABX Air (OTC/BB: ABXA) announced today that Duane Kimble has joined the company and been named Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kimble is a seasoned financial executive whose experiences include public company reporting, treasury and cash management, investor relations, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kimble also has some experience with transportation logistics and transportation industry financing.

"Duane will be an excellent addition to our senior management team," stated Joe Hete, President and CEO. "His public company experience and knowledge of finance will be critical as we continue to grow as an independent company."

Prior to joining ABX Air, Kimble has served as a Chief Financial Officer during the past five years with Sight Resource Corporation, a retail optical company, and Baldwin Piano & Organ, a musical instrument manufacturer. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Miami University in Ohio, he began his career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse. He then served in various financial positions, including Controller, at Millennium Petrochemicals. It was at Millennium that he was involved in rail car logistics and financing. He also was instrumental in the formation and integration of Equistar Chemicals, a $6 billion joint venture between Millennium, Lyondell Petrochemicals and Oxy Chemicals.
