ABX Air Announces Vice Presidential Appointments

WILMINGTON, OH - Jan. 15, 2004 - ABX President and CEO Joe Hete recently announced two Vice Presidential appointments.

Corporate Director of Human Resources Gene Rhodes was appointed Vice President of Human Resources. As Vice President, Rhodes will continue to report to Hete and will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the ABX Human Resources Department. Rhodes joined ABX in September of 2000 with 26 years of experience in human resources. He earned his master's degree from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and his bachelor's degree from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma.

Corporate Secretary/Counsel Joe Payne will continue reporting to Hete as Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and General Counsel. Payne began his career at ABX in 1995 as a Contract Manager. In the years following, he was promoted to Assistant Corporate Secretary (1996), to Corporate Secretary (1999), and then Corporate Secretary/Counsel. Payne earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business Administration.
