Reed Named Director of Logistics Services

Logistics Promotes Another Four, Alters Reporting Structure

WILMINGTON, OH - December 29, 2004 - Todd Reed was named Director of Logistics Services earlier this month, reporting to Tom Poynter, Senior Vice President of Ground Operations for ABX Air. Reed will oversee all Wilmington and Columbus Logistics Operations including Traffic, Warehousing and Distribution, and Operations.

Additionally, four employees were promoted and will report to Reed. Debora Beebe is now the Warehousing and Distribution Manager for the Wilmington Operations. Tim King is now Warehousing and Distribution Manager (Logistics Traffic). Joe Lawwell was promoted to Warehousing and Distribution Manager for the Columbus operations. Shelli Young is now Warehousing and Distribution Manager for the Wilmington operations.

"I am very pleased with these promotions," said Poynter. "These folks have been with ABX Air for a number of years, doing a good job of making this operation flow smoothly."

The promotions come as part of a reorganization of the Logistics Operations, bringing it back to the Ground Department. ABX Air runs day-to-day operations of Logistics Services. This includes overseeing the receiving, stocking, picking, shipping and internal tracking of items in the warehouse distribution system.

"This management group oversees the daily successful distribution of items from the warehouse to the end customer, and they have been doing it for years," added Poynter.

Reed has been working with logistics operations for over 15 years and with ABX Air eight years. In his new role, he will oversee the Logistics Services department and strengthen the close working ties between DHL and ABX.

Beebe started with ABX Air as a Parts Expeditor in 1989, in the Logistics department. She most recently was Operations Manager.

King has been with ABX Air for 13 years. In his new role, he will oversee all traffic operations at the Wilmington and Columbus warehouses.

Lawwell advanced from Operations Manager and will be responsible for all Columbus warehouse operations. He started with ABX in 1990.

Young has been with ABX Air 12 years. In her new role, she will oversee warehousing and distribution operations at the Wilmington warehouses.
