Don Cook Promoted To Senior Director

Cook in charge of Night Operations for ABX Air, Inc.

WILMINGTON, OH - January 28, 2005 - Don Cook was promoted to Senior Director of Night Operations, Ground Department for ABX Air, Inc. Don will be in charge of the Night Operations with Dean Beckett, Hope Belle, Terry Brewer, Barry Burke, Steve Myers and Brian Schlise reporting to him.

"I am very excited about this promotion for Don," said Tom Poynter, Senior Vice President of Ground Operations. "He has covered every area in the Sort, either by working there or through quality assurance and productivity studies."

Don has been with ABX Air since January of 1985, when he was hired as a Casual Sorter. In his first ten years, he advanced quickly through the positions of Part-time Sorter, Part-time Ramp Loader, Sort Supervisor, and Ramp Supervisor. Don was promoted to Sort Area Manager in 1995 and became Quality Assurance Manager in 1999. Most recently Don has been the Director of Quality Assurance since May of 2000.

Don holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

"With Don covering the Night Sort, I will be able to spend more time with the other departments under the Ground Department umbrella," said Tom. In addition to the Night Sort, the Ground Department is also responsible for all Regional Sort Hubs, International Sort, Hazardous Materials Sort, Day Sort, Sort Services and Logistics.
