ABX Air Employees Support Local Charities
Annual Charity Drive nets nearly $137,000
WILMINGTON, OH - February 3, 2005 - In support of the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the United Way of Clinton County, ABX Air employees have pledged or donated nearly $137,000.
"Our employees are a very giving group of people," said Paul Cunningham, Drive Coordinator for ABX. "Every year they open their hearts and wallets not just to the Fall Charity Drive but also to support a wide range of other charities, events and benefits."
Each fall, as part of the corporate drive, ABX allows employees to support any or all of the organizations noted above through payroll deduction. For their support of the drive, employees at certain giving levels are congratulated with gifts. In addition, prizes are given away at the conclusion of the drive to 100 randomly selected contributors.
For several years, ABX Air has supported the American Cancer Society, the Heart Association and the United Way of Clinton County through its Fall Charity Drive. Each year the drive is themed to draw employee participation and add some fun to the event.
"It is important to give back to our community," said Cunningham. "Our employees are active in the many communities where they live, and they support this drive well every year."
