Robert Gray Retires as VP of Flight Operations;
Captain Bob Boja Promoted
WILMINGTON, OH - February 18, 2015 - ABX Air has announced the retirement of Vice President of Flight Operations Robert Gray after 35 years of service, along with the promotion of Captain Bob Boja to the combined position of Vice President of Flight and Director of Operations for the Company.
Gray joined ABX Air in 1979 as a Dispatcher. He held a variety of positions in management including Manager of Crew Scheduling, Director of Operational Control, Senior Director of Operational Safety and Planning, Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance and Government Affairs, and Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Government Affairs.

"His knowledge of our business and his contributions in the areas of safety, operations, and projects such as the selection of the 767 airframe for our fleet have been a part of the success of ABX Air over the years. Boja joined ABX Air in 1990 as a YS-11 First Officer. During his time at ABX Air he has held roles as Assistant Chief Pilot, YS-11 Equipment Chief Pilot, DC-9 Assistant Chief Pilot, DC-9 Chief Pilot, Senior Director of Crew Operations and System Chief Pilot, and Senior Director of Flight Operations. He also has held flight management positions at American Eagle and Eastern Airlines. Boja is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot, Flight Engineer, and Certified Flight Instructor with over 13,000 total hours including 2,100 hours in the Boeing 767. He has held the Director of Operations position at ABX Air since late 2009, and he retains those duties and responsibilities as part of his new assignment.
