FAA Anti-Drug Plan

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires employers in the aviation industry to establish Anti-Drug and Alcohol Programs.

ABX Air, Inc. is committed to a drug-free working environment consistent with its duty to implement policies and procedures designed to achieve the highest possible degree of safety in the public interest. Accordingly, we have a paramount interest in assuring that our personnel performing safety- and security-related activities perform their duties free of prohibited drugs.

In accordance with our FAA Anti-Drug Program, all applicants who are hired into a covered position/function will be tested for the following drugs prior to hire date:

    • Marijuana
    • Cocaine
    • Opiates
    • Phencyclidine (PCP)
    • Amphetamines

The following are considered covered functions:

    • Flight crewmember duties
    • Flight instruction duties
    • Aircraft dispatcher duties
    • Aircraft maintenance or preventative maintenance duties
    • Repair/Assembly Leads and Supervisors

Our program fully supports the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, and we ask for full cooperation and understanding as airline professionals.
